The story
FunBusters is the first Bulgarian YouTube channel dedicated entirely to the paranormal and mysteries, founded in late 2019.
From the start we set out to bring something new to Bulgaria — devices, methods, experiments, sessions and real overnight investigations.
We were the first in Bulgaria to show a wide YouTube audience modern paranormal equipment and the way it is used on real terrain.
Today FunBusters stands behind 70+ real paranormal investigations, years working with a large arsenal of professional gear, and international cases at some of the world’s best-known paranormal locations.
We were the first Bulgarians to investigate places like Hoia Baciu, Ancient Ram Inn, 30 East Drive, The Conjuring House and Haunted Warren House.
At Haunted Warren House we tested Phantom face to face with the real Annabelle.
Over those years we used dozens of devices and methods. We learned not only how they work, but what we like, what we miss, and what we would do differently.
And gradually we arrived at the idea of Phantom.
Our own logic
That was one of our most important rules from day one. We didn’t want to rebrand a ready-made unit and stick a FunBusters logo on it.
We wanted something of our own — with its own workflow, logic, modes and ideas born from what we actually need during investigations.
That’s how FunBusters Phantom was born.
Phantom is a compact paranormal investigation device that tracks three kinds of activity.

Phantom is built for paranormal investigations and experimental ITC sessions. ITC (Instrumental Transcommunication) means attempts to communicate with the beyond through electronic equipment. The approach rests on the hypothesis that a possible spiritual presence could interact with the environment. The device uses detected sensor changes to trigger words, answers and other reactions according to the selected mode.
Those signals feed 5 different modes, each with its own purpose and way of working.
Behind Phantom sits its own interactive logic and algorithms, built specifically for the device. The system uses a dedicated list of words and answers, thematic links between some reactions, and varying rarity.
PHANTOM IS NOT PROGRAMMED TO SPEAK RANDOM WORDS ON A FIXED INTERVAL.
Its reactions depend entirely on sensor activity and the logic of the active mode. When stronger activity triggers a sensor, Phantom can choose a stronger word or reaction. We rest on the idea that if that strong activity comes from an unseen presence, it may be trying to tell us something more important.

Each mode has its own purpose and workflow — from open communication to challenges and a Portal session.

Phantom’s primary mode. It watches all three sensors and, on activity, speaks a word or phrase from a list of 5,000 words and phrases for the regional edition. The system can keep a thematic thread across some recent reactions and limits overly frequent repeats.

Ask a question. Phantom waits for a new sensor reaction and gives one direct answer from a separate list of 40 possible answers. Every new question is independent of the previous one.

Combines the detected sensor activity into a 0–100 score so you can track how activity around the device increases or decreases.

An interactive mode where Phantom sets tasks for touch, EMF reaction, temperature change and other sensor challenges for supposed unseen presences — and checks whether each task was completed.

Phantom starts hunting for EMF activity. Three valid reactions charge Portal to 100%, then a 60-second active session begins with its own Portal word list and Phantom’s sensor logic. The word list here is strictly filtered to stand apart from Phantom Echo.
Sensors
Phantom tracks three kinds of activity and feeds every mode in real time.
Detects electromagnetic field shifts and powers Echo, Direct Answers, Presence Hunter, Trigger Challenge and Portal.
Tracks temperature spikes and drops — part of the sensor logic and RGB feedback.
Responds to contact with the device — a key input for Trigger Challenge and combined reactions.
In the field
Phantom was developed, changed and refined over several months. Before the final version, it went through more than 5 full overnight tests on real paranormal locations.
Field tests showed us what still needed to improve in real use.

04We worked on the interface, hardware, the behavior of each mode, audio, volume and voice clarity.
Every problem we found in the field came back to us to solve.
We didn’t want Phantom to merely “work.” We wanted a version we ourselves could say:
„This is the device we want to take on our next investigation.“
Phantom appears in our real investigations while still in development. You’ll see its different versions, real sessions, striking reactions, the issues we found, and its gradual path to the final product.
We’ve received words, reactions and sequences that startled even us.
Phantom reports sensor activity. The device does not prove the presence of spirits and does not guarantee communication.
